Executive Headteacher Brand New Specialist School Openings Location: Bedfordshire Salary: Up to 80K (based on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: January 2026 About the Role We are working on behalf of a highly reputable specialist education organisation seeking an ambitious Executive Headteacher to lead the development and opening of a new network of specialist schools across Bedfordshire . This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of specialist education from the ground up. Youll be responsible for the strategic leadership of newly established provisions catering for pupils with complex needs , including p rimary- s econdary specialist settings (SEMH and SEND and a PMLD setting You will guide these schools through the opening and early operational phases, ensuring they provide high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing environments for all learners. Key Responsibilities Lead on the opening and development of new specialist schools Provide strategic leadership across multiple sites Recruit, develop, and support strong leadership teams Ensure excellent standards in safeguarding, teaching, and care Work closely with stakeholders, local authorities, and families About You We are looking for someone who: Has a strong track record of senior leadership in specialist or inclusive education Is passionate about improving outcomes for children with complex needs Can inspire, lead, and motivate diverse teams Has experience working with SEND/SEMH/PMLD provisions (Desirable) Has experience opening new schools or leading across multiple sites How to Apply If youre excited by the opportunity to make a lasting difference and help shape a new generation of inclusive education, wed love to hear from you.
