They shape our culture and support us in achieving our vision together, as one global team.The roleThe Scientific Director at Prime plays a strategic leadership role, overseeing scientific teams to ensure the highest standards of content delivery, project execution, and client engagement within a medical communications setting. This role involves leading and mentoring scientific and editorial staff, maintaining quality and compliance with agency SOPs, and contributing to the development of strategic communication materials across therapeutic areas. The Scientific Director is responsible for fostering client relationships, supporting financial and resource planning, driving organic growth, and identifying new business opportunities. A strong scientific background (PhD, PharmD, or MD), extensive medical communications experience, and proven leadership, project management, and commercial skills are essential for success in this position.RequirementsPhD, PharmD, or MDAt least 6 years' med comms experience with a proven track record in leading scientific teams within a medical communications agency or pharma companyExtensive medical writing experience from a medical communications or pharma environment across a broad range of projects and therapeutic areasInvolvement in a large range of different types of projects, including onsite and client meeting experienceUnderstanding of strategic planning processComfortable presenting to clients, with good presentation skillsSome experience in developing and presenting new business proposals/pitches preferredExcellent communication skillsLine management/mentoring and reviewing experience in a medical communications agencyStrong leadership and motivational skillsCommercial awareness relating to the financial management of a medical communications businessMaintain a good working knowledge of the computer software required, e.g. Word and PowerPointBenefits33 days annual leaveBirthday day off5% pension contributionPrivate medical health insuranceWORKsmart - allows employees to have flexibility around their start and finish timeHybrid working#J-18808-Ljbffr
