Reports To: Engineering Maintenance ManagerFind out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (days only)Job SummaryTo be an effective member of the maintenance team and to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering planned maintenance, whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest possible standard.This is an exciting role working with completely brand-new equipment installations for the ideal engineer to compliment the site. Full training will be offered at commissioning of all plant.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for reactive and proactive maintenance work; including breakdowns and planned maintenance to the site machinery and process.Attend breakdowns and keep machinery down-time to a minimum.Responsible for completion of PPM tasks and daily checks in a timely manner.Work with our CMMS system, completing work orders, Planned Maintenance, and requesting/booking out spares.Help and assist in the training of others and identify own training needs.Ensure all work carried out adheres to the Company's food standard practices and health and safety requirements.Maintaining tools and equipment to a safe working condition.Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Operations Team.Maintain workplace precautions suitable to the working environment and as identified in risk assessments.Ensuring that any remedial actions that are beyond their scope of authorisation are brought to the attention of their immediate superior.Assist with moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.Assist visiting specialist engineers where necessary.Minimum Qualifications & RequirementsExperience in an FMCG, chilled environment.Multi Skilled Electrical/Mechanical.Apprenticeship trained and tested - ONC/HNC.Understanding of refrigeration systems a bonus.Ability to use a CMMS system.Previous experience of working with packing machinery.Strong knowledge of bearings, pneumatics, electrical control systems, process control, fault diagnosis and safety systems, Cooling/ Refrigeration systems.Excellent health and safety awareness.Experienced in completing routine checks and identifying preventative measures.Willingness to work flexibly as part of a rotating shift system.INDOTHERTPBN1_UKTJ
