PayAlly provides international and local payments, multicurrency account, currency exchange, debit cards, card issuing and payments gateway.The RoleLocation: UK Remote, with a requirement to visit our London office from time to time (approx. 2 days a month), as agreed between you and your manager.Working time: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pmMain responsibilities:As a First Line KYC Manager, you will be responsible for managing a KYC team to carry out Client Due Diligence and ongoing CDD monitoring processes, while also providing Management Information (MI) to support reporting and governance requirements, replying to requirements from Sales, AML and Compliance.Develop and maintain comprehensive KYC procedures, continuously identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.Oversee and manage the end-to-end client onboarding journey, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and efficient process aligned with regulatory standards and internal policies.Oversight of conducting continuous monitoring reviews of our clients to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations..Building out the framework for channels, ensuring the appropriate validation controls are in place to ensure compliance.Assessing and monitoring the integrity of our client's financial crime risk and controls framework.Working closely with the ‘Second Line’ and the MLRO, raising internal SARs and supporting efforts to ensure the team are kept up-to-date with training and knowledge developmentCommunicating regularly with clients to track the development and remediation of findings from assurance reviews.Supporting clients to stay compliant with emerging regulatory changes.Establishing a scalable, efficient, and consistent framework for ongoing reviews.Planning and prioritising the review schedule and managing the necessary capacity to deliver it.Approval of First Line assessments for submission to AML, if necessary.Development of MI to support governance, audit and 2LOD.Act as an escalation point of contact for all queries regarding financial crime, dealing with and raising issues to senior management and 2LOD in a timely manner including internal SARs.Manage, coach and develop a team.Carry out any other operational tasks deemed necessary by management.Requirements:Extensive experience in KYC/onboarding within a financial institution, ideally with exposure to EMIs or Payment Institutions.Good knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape, including the FCA Handbook, Money Laundering Regulations, and JMLSG Guidance.Experience with screening solutions and case management platforms such as ComplyAdvantage or LexisNexis.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and escalate risks appropriately.A detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a natural curiosity to investigate and solve problems.Comfortable working under pressure, balancing priorities, and delivering in line with agreed SLAs.Proven ability to conduct open-source research to identify adverse media related to clients and business partners.A proactive, collaborative approach combined with high ethical standards.Compliance-related qualification such as CAMS or ICA would be an advantage.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in a financial services environment.Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and negotiate at a high level.
