Assistant Buyer – Menswear OverviewWe are working with a leading fashion company, who are keen to recruit an Assistant Buyer, working across Menswear. The Assistant Buyer will play an essential role in shaping and expanding the product offerings and will be involved in researching, selecting, and sourcing menswear and accessories that meet customer expectations. Assistant Buyer - Menswear Responsibilities:Source and propose menswear and accessories that align with the brand ethos, seasonal direction, and business goals.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms, and lead times to support margin goals and quality standards.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor actions, and customer feedback to drive innovation and expand product potential.Monitor and analyse product performance to refine ranges, manage stock efficiently, and adjust pricing strategies based on data.Partner with designers and merchandisers to oversee the complete development cycle—from initial concept through to delivery—ensuring targets are met on time and within budget.Work alongside the technical team to uphold our product quality, resolving any manufacturing concerns with suppliers and internal teams.Coordinate with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure the seasonal collection launches successfully and cohesively.Manage allocated buying budgets, monitoring spend and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Support environmentally conscious sourcing and production processes in line with company sustainability objectives.Contribute to the development of display strategies and principles that guide in-store presentations.Skills & Experience Required:Previous experience in an Assistant Buyer role within fashion, particularly in menswear, is beneficial with a strong grasp of the menswear market, trends, and customer demographics, and a high attention to detail with a passion for quality, garment design, and fit.
