SENIOR DATA ENGINEER UP TO 70,000 BENEFITS HYBRID - West Midlands Want to take ownership of business-critical legacy systems, mentor others, and support a major organisation on its journey to the cloud? THE COMPANY: I''m working with a UK-based financial services provider. They''re currently undergoing a large-scale data transformation, shifting from legacy on-prem systems to a cloud-based infrastructure. THE ROLE: You''ll join a collaborative team of 10 Data Engineers, focused on maintaining and evolving the company''s SQL Server environment-a vital part of day-to-day operations. You''ll work across a variety of financial and operational data projects that deliver real business value while contributing to documentation and planning for eventual system decommissioning. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines with SSIS Building and supporting reporting processes with SSRS Writing complex queries and transformations using T-SQL Translating stakeholder requirements into robust, scalable data solutions Producing technical documentation to support future system transition Mentoring junior team members and contributing to peer reviews Collaborating with colleagues across data architecture, BI, governance, and delivery YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: A successful Senior Data Engineer will bring: Experience in Data Engineering or SQL development Strong SQL Server and T-SQL expertise Experience working with SSIS and SSRS Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience in financial services or regulated environments (preferred) Confidence presenting and documenting technical solutions THE BENEFITS: You will receive a salary of up to 70,000 depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
