Position Title: Programme Manager Country : Middle East Location: Haywards Heath, UK (flexible) Duration: Six-months maternity cover with possibility of extension Closing date of applications : 15 August 2025 Start date : September 2025 MENTOR is recruiting an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the large-scale disease control and healthcare programme in the Middle East working with established teams in country and at HQ level. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Middle East, a background in public health, medicine or epidemiology, be fluent in Arabic and have strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. Post graduate qualification in health/medicine, epidemiology or control of infectious diseases highly desirable. Experience of working in the Middle East and an understanding of the context is preferable. Extensive experience managing health/humanitarian programmes and experience with donors. Familiarity with NGO working environments and standard procedures. Highly organised with good coordination / project management skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferable.
