Youll lead initiatives that protect our people and planet, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards. Youll work closely with teams across the site to embed a Safety First culture and drive continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIESAs our HSE Manager, youll play a vital role in shaping a safe and sustainable workplace. Your responsibilities will include: Championing a Safety First cultureby engaging and inspiring colleagues across all departments. Monitoring and enforcingadherence to Group Health & Safety policies. Maintaining accurate safety recordsand ensuring timely reporting of incidents and near misses. Supporting managersin investigating accidents and identifying root causes. Providing clear safety statisticson a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Taking decisive actionto stop unsafe operations or equipment use when necessary. Ensuring compliancewith risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), hazardous substances, work equipment, and manual handling procedures. Tracking environmental performanceagainst accreditation standards and legal requirements. Delivering engaging safety training, working with internal teams and external providers to ensure quality and relevance. Conducting regular safety audits and inspectionsto identify and resolve risks. Reporting findings to leadershipand recommending practical solutions.
