Previous horse experience is beneficial but not required!Detailed description Join us in making a difference at The Heard Therapy CIC!We are a supportive community dedicated to providing professional mental health services alongside horses in a natural setting near Ilminster.A typical volunteering shift lasts approximately 2 hours in the morning or 1 hour in the afternoon. Tasks include refilling hay nets, bringing our 5 horses into the yard for feeding, poo picking on our track system, grooming, and yard tidying.Volunteering shifts can be weekly or fortnightly, preferably on the same day each time to assist with planning.An induction and training will be provided.We offer equine-assisted therapy and learning, prioritizing horse and client welfare. Our horses only engage through consent, and respect for their space is maintained. Our guiding principles emphasize accessibility, inclusion, and acceptance.
