The roleAt Cambridge Consultants, we handle multiple projects across a broad range of sectors every year, including: Industrial: Developing sensors, robotics, and logistics systems for manufacturing and retail clients Defence: Creating secure end-to-end systems for government clients, covering areas like sensing, communications, tracking, location, and data analysis Healthcare : Conducting medical device testing in compliance with ISO13485 standards Biotech: Preparing reagents, samples, and media using aseptic techniques, supporting the needs of various project stakeholders Consumer: Designing smart dispensing and connected sensor systems for personal care, food & beverage, and sports & fitness brands Our work spans full product development from concept to manufacturing, as well as offering consulting services on technology, innovation, and R&D processes. As a laboratory technician, your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as evaluating and testing systems and devices, conducting basic wet chemistry, maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing safety training. Key responsibilitiesAs a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting various projects, with responsibilities that include: General laboratory housekeeping and maintenance Monitoring stock levels of general supplies Conducting daily and weekly equipment checks Performing verification testing and evaluating systems and devices under development Following standard operating procedures and adhering to health and safety regulations in each workspace Preparing stock solutions and work solutions as needed by project teams Accurately recording and reporting results to team members Advising engineers on laboratory safety practices and the proper use of laboratory equipment Participating in mechanical rig assembly and testing, as required What you’ll needTo be successful in this role, you’ll need the following skills or experience: Proven experience working in a laboratory, test house, or within production QA processes Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong ability to perform hands-on laboratory procedures in a methodical, precise, and safe manner Flexible and organised, with the capacity to manage multiple projects involvement simultaneously (strong multitasking skills) Adaptable to changing project demands and requirements Excellent teamwork skills Competency with standard IT packages, including Microsoft Office applications Strong verbal and communication skills, capable of delivering essential safety training to engineers and scientists, and providing guidance on laboratory equipment#J-18808-Ljbffr
