Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GP to join our friendly and supportive PCN for 4-6 sessions per week. Contract based on BMA contract. Salary 11k per session. Holiday entitlement - 6 weeks plus one study week per annum pro rata Inclusion in the NHS Pension Tier 2 visa (if needed) Main duties of the jobYou will be working within a well functioning team of GPs, ANPs, Nurses, HCAs, Clinical Pharmacists and Administrative staff. The PCN covers 5 different practices within the Wolverhampton area. Allocations and timetable to be discussed at interview. Job responsibilitiesJob responsibilities: Work in accordance with the practices timetables The delivery of highly effective medical care to the PCN population Effective management of long-term conditions Process administration tasks in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated tasks Undertake same day triage (on a rotational basis) Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload Ensure best practice following clinical guidelines, policies and practice protocols Contribute to QOF requirements with accurate record keeping and coding Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required Contribute effectively to the development of the practice including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR Ensure compliance with the appraisal process Prepare and complete the revalidation process Dedicated to self-learning and continuing professional development Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice Ensure effective team working Home visits as required Person SpecificationPersonal Characteristics- Polite and confident, flexible and cooperative - Motivated, forward thinker with ability to use own judgement and common sense - Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required - High levels of integrity - Able to effectively communicate and understand the needs of patients - Commitment to ongoing professional development - Punctual, open to feedback and committed to supporting the team effort Experience- Good organisational and IT skills and knowledge of EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx, MS Teams. - Excellent interpersonal and team working skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including accurate documentation of clinical notes. - Able to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary team. - Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services. - Record of on-going CPD and learning. - Experience of working in urgent care and, or a primary care environment - Experience of dealing with a range of clinical conditions and providing home visits - Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice. Experience with Accurx triage Qualifications- Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list (with no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice) and engaged in regular clinical work - MRCGP examination or equivalent experience. - Driving License Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
