This role oversees direct and indirect spend, manages vendor relationships, and ensures purchasing aligns with company policy and business goals. You’ll work closely with leadership to maintain cost efficiency, quality standards, and a resilient supply chain. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Leadership Build a strong indirect procurement function and serve as the go-to expert across spend categories. Develop and implement procurement policies that reflect best practices. Lead vendor negotiations and manage market-related risks. Ensure all purchases stay within budget and meet ethical standards. Approve and manage suppliers who meet quality, timing, and cost needs. Standardize procurement processes and vendor communications. Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Track and report on supplier performance and key updates. Set annual budgets and forecast price changes for key materials. Maintain optimal inventory for business needs. Resolve supply issues and vendor disputes. Partner with Marketing on new product launches to ensure competitive packaging costs. Keep procurement SOPs current and effective. Qualifications Strong work ethic. Knowledge of procurement/warehousing KPIs. ERP/MRP experience (NetSuite preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office. Comfortable working independently and handling shifting priorities. Location This role can be based in either Walpole, NH or Boston, MA. In-person only.
