Go back University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) Band 3 Therapy Assistant - NeurosciencesThe closing date is 08 August 2025A Band 3 Therapy Assistant works with registered physiotherapists in their day-to-day work within neurosciences, helping paediatric patients to follow treatment programmes and keeping records of patient contacts. This role also includes activities to support the work of therapists such as ordering/maintaining stock, cleaning equipment and inputting statistical dataand supporting the management of the neuro-rehabilitation outcome measures and data. Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is a Tertiary hospital receiving the most complex referrals, from both local and national centres. Please note that due to significant interest, this position may close early if a sufficient number of candidates apply. There may be possibility in the future for this post to rotate through other specialities. Main duties of the jobTo assist the physiotherapy, occupational therapy and neuro-rehab speech and language team in the assessment and treatment of children within various specialities and with a variety of disability, with appropriate training and support. To be an integral member of the paediatric therapy team, assisting qualified therapists in delivering an excellent Occupational and Physiotherapy service to paediatric patients in the acute hospital setting To contribute to the assessment and treatment of patients both individually and in groups, undertaking therapeutic work and supervising patients in activity relating to their treatment. To undertake general departmental duties such as cleaning, collation of statistical information and ordering equipment. To undertake clerical and household tasks as necessary to maintain the smooth running of the department.
