This is a pivotal leadership role, combining clinical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure the delivery of innovative and compliant medical photography and illustration services across the Trust.You will manage a team of clinical photographers, graphic designers, and administration staff, ensuring the provision of accurate, ethical, and timely visual documentation for clinical, educational, legal, and promotional purposes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Medical Illustration and Clinical Photography department, including service planning, staff development, and quality assurance. Oversee the delivery of clinical photography, video, graphic design, and multimedia services across all Trust sites. Ensure compliance with national standards, including patient consent, confidentiality, and data protection (e.g., GDPR, Caldicott principles). Collaborate with clinical teams, communications, and education departments to support patient care, training, and public engagement. Manage departmental budgets, procurement, and service contracts. Drive innovation in digital imaging, telemedicine, and visual communication technologies.About YouDegree in Medical Illustration, Clinical Photography, or a related discipline. Masters level training or equivalent in a relevant subject Substantial experience in a senior clinical photography or medical illustration role, ideally within the NHS. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, digital asset management systems, and clinical imaging protocols. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.DesirableRegistration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) or membership of the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI).
