We provide consultancy and systems engineering services to transport clients throughout the UK and overseas. You will contribute to the capability of our digital systems engineering consultancy team, providing advice, assurance and delivery to clients across the system engineering lifecycle.You will be part of a team that uses a tailored blend of lifecycle, service and business change delivery methods to provide high quality strategic advice, technical assurance, solution guidance, specification, system design, architecture, and testing assurance to mostly government clients.You will work closely with your clients, occasionally as their first point of contact, for technical advice. You will be responsible for getting to the heart of their needs and challenges. You will challenge assumptions and bring your client solutions that create genuine benefit and exceed their expectations.If you have a broad perspective and passion for future technology, and have some experience in the digital consultancy arena, then WSP Intelligent Infrastructure is the team for you. We work as consultants, designers, and thought-leaders, able to understand and articulate complex systems and give robust advice that is in the best interests of our clients and their customers.We are looking for assistant consultants who can work as part of a team to deliver project work under the direction of our technical leads.In This Role You WillThink strategically and build relationships – you’ll apply thought leadership and build strong relationships with our team members, clients and suppliers. Collaborate effectively with the team – plugging gaps as needed, working with a variety of clients, and colleagues, helping to coach/develop our most junior staff, and sharing successes. Be balanced and pragmatic, knowing when to apply processes and plans (be systematic) and when to apply flexible systems thinking. Work in client facing environments and help to define project requirements. You’ll use your strong problem-solving mindset, work effectively in ambiguous situations and escalate to senior staff when required.What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards professional registration with an accredited institute. Your proficiency level against the INCOSE Systems Engineering Competency Framework Have some domain knowledge in a relevant industry, that could be transportation or operational technology, business IT, software or engineering consultancyDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
