Inclusive working environment Access to the NHS pension scheme Free parking Swimming pool Gym Coffee Shop Main duties of the jobDMRC provides medical rehabilitation for patients withcomplex needs who may have sustained multiple injuries; this includesneurological injury and complex trauma. In addition, the Centres of Spinal andUpper Quadrant, Lower Limb and Specialist Rehabilitation provide the consultantled multidisciplinary management at secondary care level. The successful candidate will be responsible for providingspecialist Occupational Therapy rehabilitation to service personnel withcomplex clinical needs within the Force Generation Vocational Occupational TherapyService. The postholder will have a specific focus onsupporting personnel to either return to work within the military or transitioninto the civilian workforce. The postholder will work autonomously and be accountable forown professional actions and of those staff who they line manage. Alongside providingfull support to the Band 7 Occupational Therapists, Team Manager andOccupational Therapy Professional Lead Advisor in the provision of acomprehensive, evidence based and professional Occupational Therapy servicewithin clinical area. Job responsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assessing & treating your own workload of patients/clients, individually and/or in groups, as part of inter- disciplinary team, in a variety of settings. Contributing to the development of specialist service and related policies. Supervising/managing students and other staff working in own specialist area. To participate in clinical audits, undertakes research. Assessing complex patients with a range of diagnoses, identifying, developing and implementing appropriate specialist rehabilitation programmes based on clear clinical reasoning, based on highly specialist knowledge and experience of a range of procedures and conditions underpinned by sound theory and evidence-based practice. To identify the resources required for effective service delivery within clinical area and assist Band 7 Occupational Therapists (OT), Line Manager and Occupational Therapy Professional Lead Advisor in business planning and budgeting for this service.
