As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be: Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations Facilitating psychological interventions on a 1:1 and/or group basis, monitoring their effectiveness Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training Supporting reflective practice for staff Maintaining clinical databases Completing outcome measures Writing reports for various audiences Participating in service evaluation and research, including data collection, analysis, and reporting Undertaking clinically relevant audits To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology, conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in a forensic and/or mental health setting Experience maintaining office systems and undertaking administrative tasks Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a strong commitment to evidence-based therapeutic interventions Strong organisational skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with professional practice standards, including HCPC standards and BPS code of ethics Where you will be working: Location:The Avalon Centre, Edison Park Hindle Way, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3RT You will work at The Avalon Centre, a purpose-built neurological centre for adults over 18 with acquired brain injuries.
