We’re hiring ourfirst UK-based Account Managerto drive services sales through our strategic partnership with Databricks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative, partner-led environment and wants to help shape DATAPAO’s presence in the UK. ️ What will you do? You’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle for our customers (normally, but not limited to,Drive pipeline generationthrough our strategic partnership with Databricks, working closely with their Account Executives to identify and activate service opportunities. Lead early-stage sales motions : run discovery calls, qualify needs, position DATAPAO’s capabilities, and ensure smooth transitions to delivery and technical teams. Coordinate teams virtually:Sales Engineers, Delivery Leads, and other stakeholders — to align on opportunity strategy and execution. Organize and execute lead-generation activities:workshops, roundtables, and webinars, collaborating with Databricks and aligning with key accounts. Act as atrusted point of contactfor Databricks field teams and customer stakeholders, building long-term relationships across active and emerging accounts. What will you bring? Must-Have Trusted Advisor mindset– You ask the right questions, understand customer pain points, and position service-based solutions tailored to real needs. You guide the customer toward their interest when their solution/approach is not optimal. Willingness to lead– You proactively lead your team and drive sales forward. You don’t wait until you can take an order. You actively drive sales. Customer orientation– You drive value for the customer and help them discover and solve their (real) problems. Partner relationship management– Proven ability to build trust and maintain visibility with partner AEs, SEs, and field teams. Commercial acumen– Understands time & materials vs. fixed price models and how to navigate discounts and partner-influenced commercial expectations. Scalable knowledge– You can easily transfer your know-how and ways of working to new areas. Sociability– You feel comfortable getting in touch w/o an introduction with new stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Experience with event-driven lead generation– Background in planning or supporting workshops, roundtables, or webinars as part of pipeline development. Experience with Databricks or similar partners– Familiarity with the Databricks partner ecosystem or co-selling models within cloud/data platforms. Executive presence– Confident in presenting to senior stakeholders and able to steer conversations in high-pressure or high-stakes settings. Storytelling and narrative building– Able to craft and deliver compelling stories that connect DATAPAO’s services to business outcomes. Ability to successfully move complex deals forward by aligning stakeholders across organizations, even when you aren’t the formal lead. What will the selection process look like? Screening Interview(~45 minutes).Run by our Head of People. We'll try to better understand your motivation and background, and assess how you match the role's core requirements. Take-home Assignment.Will probe your ability to identify customer problems based on a given organizational context and make tailor-made recommendations to solve them. Panel Presentation (~90 minutes).You will discuss with our Head of Sales and an external consultant your take-home assignment submission and possibly engage in a customer role-playing exercise to assess the critical skills you'll need to thrive in the role. Cultural Fit Interview (~60 minutes).Run by our CEO and/or Head of People. The purpose is to assess the likelihood of easily settling into our community and ways of working. How will we measure success? Making an impact in this role will be a function of: Lead Generation Delivered Revenue The weight of these factors in the final evaluation will be co-created with the Head of Sales upon joining. Depending on your experience and assessed seniority level in the selection process, the total yearly gross compensation for this role can go up to £150.000, and it will be structured along two components as follows: Base salary (fixed): ~60% of the total compensation Sales incentive (variable): ~40% of the total compensation The exact ratios and the composition of the variable part will be co-created with the Head of Sales upon joining.
