Although based in Torquay, you will also provide cross cover to the other midwifery teams in the Torbay and South Devon locality. Your role will encompass supporting the integrated midwifery service with the provision of safe, effective and evidence based care to all women and their families using the maternity services. This will include clinical activities, admin and clerical duties and housekeeping, whilst at all times liaising with the Midwives. The clinical responsibilities involve support of new parents, parent education, feeding support, venepuncture & undertaking new-born blood spot tests.
