Job Description

The Community Protection Service is looking for 2 Licensing Assistants to join the Business Compliance Team. 1 x Temporary for 1 year 1 x Temporary for 2 years You will report directly to a Licensing Team Leader within a specialist service area. The post holder will be responsible for delivering Community Protection Services in accordance with Council policies, procedures, and within the legislative framework. WHAT IS INVOLVED?You will liaise with clients and service users daily, providing advice, guidance, and assistance to staff, licensees, and the public. Contribute to developing strategies, policies, and procedures to make County Durham a healthy and safe place. Work in partnership with others to promote community and economic wellbeing, and to protect and improve the health and quality of life of residents, visitors, and workers in County Durham. WHAT WILL I NEED?NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration or related subject Relevant work experience Knowledge of local government structure and operation Understanding of local government policies and procedures Experience dealing with technical applications in relevant service areas Ability to provide detailed technical advice to customers Experience using IT systems Please refer to the attached person specification for full criteria.
