Job summary Northumberland and North Tyneside Universal Crisis Team are recruiting for a clinical lead within the Older Person's Pathway. We seek a passionate clinician with leadership experience to join our collective leadership team. The successful candidate will oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care, working alongside operational and clinical leaders across all three pathways of the universal crisis team. The role primarily focuses on the Older Person's Pathway but may support the working age adult and older persons pathways as needed. Effective communication with partner agencies is essential. Main dutiesProvide 7-day clinical leadership and oversight. Act as a role model, supporting the team to deliver high-quality care, responsive to service demands, and adaptable to complex situations. Demonstrate strong knowledge in older adult mental health and safeguarding. Carry out robust assessments and risk management to ensure safety and efficacy. Communicate effectively within the leadership team, prioritising clinical demands and supporting staff. Offer clinical advice, supervision, and contribute to appraisals. Deliver in-house training and embed clinical standards. Monitor clinical performance through audits and collaborate with the Team Manager to improve service quality and outcomes. Maintain excellent organisational, time management, and delegation skills amidst changing priorities. Person SpecificationKnowledge and Experience (Essential): Experience in multidisciplinary teams and clinical supervision. Experience in clinical risk management and leadership in clinical services. Experience working with older adults in mental health settings. Desirable: Experience with clinical risk taking, WRAP, working age adults, and multiagency systems. Skills and Competencies (Essential): Excellent communication and liaison skills. Strong organisational and leadership skills. Education & Qualifications (Essential): Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent. Mentorship and relevant postgraduate qualifications. Desirable: Management/leadership qualification and teaching qualification. Personal Characteristics: Motivated, able to work under pressure, flexible attitude.
