This role is crucial in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Scoot business, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing analytical support to drive informed decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting the wider Booker Retail business with financial insights, helping to shape the success of this new venture. This position does not have direct reports but offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business. We offer a hybrid working model, with three days based at one of our regional offices — Watford, High Wycombe, Wellingborough, or Eccles — and two days working from home, providing flexibility and work-life balance.You will be responsible for Reporting to the Booker Retail Finance Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include: Preparingweekly sales reports , ensuring alignment between retail sales and wholesale sales uplifts.Conductingmonthly profit and loss analysis , comparing actuals against business cases.Leadingbudgeting, latest estimate (LE) planning, and forecastingactivities.Managing and overseeinginvoice and credit processesrelated to handheld terminals, commission charges, and marketing support.Overseeingthird-party logistics (3PL) managementand ensuring rebate credits are processed back to Booker Group.Administering and controllingsales incentive schemesto drive performance.Supporting theCommercial Finance Managerwith ad hoc analytical work outside of the Scoot framework.You will need To succeed in this role, you should be a proactive, results-driven individual with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity. Qualified Accountant(preferred) with a relevantdegree(desirable).Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills , with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication skills , both written and verbal.Advanced IT proficiency , particularly inExcel .Team player , capable of collaborating across multiple sites.Willingness to travelto other sites as required.Whats in it for you?
