MacGregor Blackis delighted to partner with a leading FMCG manufacturer in the search for aManagement Accountant . This is apermanent, on-site rolebased inGrimsby . As theManagement Accountant , you will play a key role in providing financial insight and support to the business—helping to drive efficiency, control costs, and improve profitability. You will manage financial data, analyse performance, support costing activities, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely management accounts at month-end. Support product costing and standard cost maintenance, analysing cost variances and margin performance. Post daily bank transactions and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Assist with quarterly VAT returns and HMRC duty filings. Perform stock reconciliations and maintain accurate inventory and cost records. Manage the Fixed Asset Register, corporate card, and expense systems. Collaborate with operational teams to understand production costs and identify efficiency opportunities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including cost of goods sold (COGS). Support payroll postings, reporting, and month-end close. Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and costing analysis to support decision-making. Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting, costing processes, and internal controls. What We’re Looking For Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). Strong understanding of management accounting and month-end procedures. Proven experience in costing, cost analysis, and stock/inventory accounting. Comfortable working with standard costing systems in a manufacturing environment. Analytical mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, team-oriented approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Please contactCarl Mawfor full details.
