The ideal candidate will have had already had experience in resolving and settling insurance claims whether that be as a broker, claims handler, lawyer or loss adjuster. We are open minded to look at anyone bringing relevant sector experience and the right personal qualities.Desired Skills And Qualities For This Role IncludeAttainment of (or significant progression towards) chartered status as a loss adjuster or insurance professional. Experience in a role where the gained skillset/knowledge would translate through to the assessment, quantification and settlement of liability losses. A tertiary qualification in a discipline such as law, commerce, property or construction. An inquisitive and open mind to support the investigative aspects of the work to determine the core facts and details. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution and ability to put people at ease. A high standard of written English and numeracy, including good Word and Excel skills necessary for creating reports and calculating adjustment of claims. A readiness to handle any job that comes your way, large or small and can provide excellent service on a case load of claims. Eagerness to learn and develop yourself further professionally (including obtaining further qualifications that are company funded) The right to work and reside in New Zealand. We are a New Zealand Immigration accredited employer, which allows us to support visa applications under the Talent (Accredited Employer) schemeMain Duties And ResponsibilitiesFacilitating and assisting with the settlement of major and complex liability insurance claims.
