We’re on the lookout for a skilled, hands-onElectricianto join our growing domestic solar installation team. This is your chance to be part of a respected and established renewable energy company, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn everything you need to know about solar installations, no prior solar experience required, as full training and upskilling will be provided. As ourLead Electrician , you’ll take the reins on domestic solar PV installations, overseeing one direct report and ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards. You’ll occasionally support on commercial installs too, gaining even broader experience. Reporting directly to our Domestic Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for making sure every job is safe, compliant, efficient, and delivers an exceptional experience for our customers. Responsibilities: Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Site:Keep all sites tidy, organised, and fully compliant with health 'safety regulations. Assist with Deliveries and Labour:Help unload deliveries, move materials, and perform general labouring duties as needed. Work Independently:Show initiative and self-motivation to manage tasks efficiently. Coordinate Logistics:Collaborate with the office team to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth project execution. Install Electrical Systems:Carry out installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV charging points, and perform general electrical work. Maintain Accurate Documentation:Keep precise records for all projects to ensure traceability and compliance. Follow Company Policies:Adhere to all company procedures while actively contributing to continual improvement in standards. Be Reliable and Punctual:Ensure tasks are completed on time, demonstrating dependable work habits. Stay Organised and Efficient:Manage your workload methodically to maximise productivity. Meet Physical Job Demands:Handle the physical requirements necessary for the role. Be Adaptable and Open to Learning:Embrace new skills and adapt to evolving job needs. What you'll need to succeed We’re looking for a dedicated, professional, who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compliant and efficient work. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise and excellent communication skills to the team. You’ll be hands on, and thrive when working in a fast paced, physically demanding environment. ECS Card with additional safety qualifications for working at heights, confined spaces, etc. Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid full UK driving license. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Experience in the solar PV industry is ideal but not essential – full training will be provided on solar and EV charging installations.
