We are currently recruiting for a Civils Drainage Engineer in Yorkshire, working within a team to carry out groundwork tasks including digging trenches, excavations, laying pipes, spot repairs, and surface preparation for repair. About The RoleLocation: Malton, Yorkshire Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, with paid lunch). Overtime at time and a half. Salary: To be discussed Weekly pay ResponsibilitiesPerform groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs, and surface preparation. Install and maintain over-pumping systems and ensure safe excavations with ground support. Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablets. Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently. Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance. Follow approved method statements, safe systems of work, and health and safety regulations. Maintain equipment and tools in good condition. Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment at all times. Ensure site safety and compliance with permits. Read and understand drainage plans. Record photographic evidence of work completed. Experience and QualificationsFull UK driving license (Required) Civils background, ideally from Utilities Training provided; tickets such as NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, CPC Driver Training (HGV), Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Safe Dig, and others are desirable.
