GVA Search is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing and family-owned food manufacturing business in London, who is looking to recruit a Grocery Finance Business Partner. This role will focus on the Grocery channel of the business, working closely with the Grocery side of the business, supporting both the Food and Marketing teams across all channels, as well as providing ad hoc support across all areas of the business. The Grocery channel has experienced significant growth, and with strong partnerships with leading retailers and customer loyalty, it is expected to continue expanding. The ideal candidate must work with a high level of accuracy with large datasets and quickly learn finance systems. The role also requires strategic thinking and the ability to deliver detailed commercial analysis while effectively engaging stakeholders. Role Responsibilities Include:Ownership and control of the entire Grocery P&L, including all financials from Gross Sales to EBITDA. This encompasses promotional funding, trade discounts, consumer spend, shopper marketing, and personnel expenses. It also involves oversight of logistics, including route to market and third-party hauliers costs within the Grocery BU. Sign-off on the closing of the monthly Grocery P&L and managing the management accountant and invoicing team on all Grocery-specific items such as accruals, prepayments, retailer invoicing, debit notes, promo accruals, and complaints. Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports on key business drivers, including sales trends, product mix, gross margins, service levels, pricing and promotional effectiveness, with variance analysis against targets. Contribute to the forecasting and planning cycle, with ownership of the annual budget and target setting. Support strategic 5-year planning for the grocery business unit. Approve and oversee all external spend, and advise on negotiations and terms for Joint Business Plans (JBP) with retailers. Ensure financial governance of the S&OP process, owning M4 and Business Unit Reviews, ensuring accurate and timely inputs, and presenting consolidated reports to executives and the board for monthly performance, YTD, and YTG forecasts. Play a key role in the Finance leadership team by driving capabilities, process improvements, and team development. Lead critical finance transformation initiatives, including process/reporting simplification and automation. Key Experience Required:The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent with post-qualification experience. Relevant experience in commercial business partnering within FMCG, Grocery, or multi-site environments is preferred. This role suits an ambitious and driven individual with excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and capable of challenging key business decisions. Prior experience with NAV, BI, and advanced MS Excel skills, including financial modeling and working with large datasets, is highly desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
