The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service for a fixed term of 12 months to address current department shortages, & a general radiology experience is necessary. These posts are for a general Consultant Radiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. A subspecialty interest is encouraged. The post will be primarily based at Whipps Cross University Hospital. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology skills including US, CT, plain film reporting, fluoroscopy and MRI, as well as having a subspecialty interest. Applicants should be GMC registered & ideally able to commence in the very near future. No on-call commitment is envisaged in relation to this post. Research and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the active academic department and there is a highly successful training programme with registrars. Person specification Qualifications MB BS or equivalent FRCR or equivalent CCT (or within 6 months of date of interview) or on specialist register Experience Extensive experience in diagnostic radiology Evidence of participation in regional MDT meetings, of a chosen subspeciality. A 2nd subspeciality eg Head & Neck, Neuroradiology or Interventional radiology etc. Knowledge Training in relevant subspecialty for the post Experience of research, presentations to learned societies.
