Financial Accountant's Assistant - Immediate start.Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Financial Accountant's Assistant to join one of our clients based in High Wycombe. In this role, you'll support the Financial Accountant with a variety of accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the department.This is a 3-month temporary role with the possibility to be extended.Ideal candidate would be someone who is already managing the full accruals and prepayments process on a monthly basis, with a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, along with strong Excel and accounting system skillsWhat You'll DoPrepare and process monthly accruals and prepayments.Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.Process monthly depreciation of fixed assets.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support year-end accounts.Raise purchase orders and sales invoices, reviewing open orders regularly.Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ledgers.Assist in preparing audit schedules and responding to financial data requests.Support process improvements across finance systems and procedures.What We're Looking ForStrong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.Experience in accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Excellent organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team.Working hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours.
