Senior Payroll Technician (Internal Only) - Strand, London, WC2R 2LSTHIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLYAbout us:Welcome to a payroll and pensions advertisement, this function sits within Finance and we responsible for payroll all kings employees, there are approximately 10,000 + staff currentlyThis role is looking for a high precision of payroll quality and to deliver a service that collaborates with the payroll administrators and the wider finance communityWe are situated at Lavington street with most of the professional service staff.About the role:The role of Senior payroll Technician is to ensure the provision of a high-quality payroll service, the postholder will support the Team Leaders technically and during their periods of absences, processing overpayments across the Payroll function liaising with the Deputy Payroll Manager, and communicating with the individuals impacted.The role holder will be supporting the Deputy Payroll Manager with other tasks that need addressing urgently, developing skills across the function. Supervision of the Occasional payroll and 2 team members.This role is unique as it cuts across most parts of the payroll and pensions functionThe role holder must support to create better processes that can enhance the modernisation of payroll and provide visual demonstrations of this to train others in the team, they must be open to shadowing and upskilling lower gradesThe role holder will form and maintain strong working relationships across Finance, HR & other areas of the university, they will be required to visit other campus to maintain relationships and ensure a high standard of customer service
