Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive inpatient team within a community hospital? We are currently looking for aBand 6 Occupational Therapistto join our inpatient therapy team on Longleat ward at Warminster Community Hospital in Wiltshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering holistic, patient-centred, and evidence-based care. HCRG Care Groupis a forward-thinking, innovative service provider delivering treatment and care for a wide-ranging population across rural and suburban settings. The service supports three acute trusts and is continually developing new services to provide the best level of care to Wiltshire residents. Longleat WardThis 25-bed inpatient ward adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Patients are admitted from three acute hospitals for ongoing treatment. Conditions vary and can be complex, including orthopaedics, neurological issues, musculoskeletal problems, frailty, dementia, and end-of-life care. Main ResponsibilitiesTo succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a keen interest in the care of older adults and be able to deliver high-quality patient rehabilitation and discharge planning for complex patients within a community hospital ward environment, using evidence-based practices. You should be able to prioritise and organise your caseload, support the development of Band 5 OT staff and students, and have experience supporting and delegating to therapy assistants. You will be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, flexible, work autonomously with strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills, and support complex discharges. You should have a desire to work creatively, bring about innovative service development, and be committed to patient-centred care.
