Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. RESPECT - COMPASSION - TEAMWORK - PROFESSIONALISM Job overviewA vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner in the Walsall ESD/Community Stroke Team/bed based service We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with an interest in stroke to join our excellent established interdisciplinary team. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Specialist Nurses, clerical officer and Assistant Practitioners. Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will assist in the rehabilitation of patients post stroke in their own homes/clinic/bed based service. They will facilitate client participation in their treatment / rehabilitation programmes for Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and nursing in a range of domiciliary settings. They will support the team with data collection and audits to continually improve the service. They will be responsible for organising, prioritising and planning their own workload to meet client and service priorities.
