Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a leadership position with business P&L responsibility, running an established major projects delivery team. You’ll have oversight of major projects programme management nationwide and this role brings the opportunity for business and personal growth.You willTake responsibility for the development and execution of the Major Projects business plan, including financial performance and all aspects of operational delivery Lead an engineering team, who will work with you to achieve planned objectives and budgets, focusing on both business and customer needs Contribute to company strategy development and liaise with the sales department to grow market share within the new build construction market in and around London and Southeast England Forge strong relationships which will ensure commercial and financial compliance Use your passion for the role to understand the activity in the marketplace, ensuring competitor and market differentiation, which will make for informed decision makingYou haveDemonstrable experience delivering complex projects valued at £2M+, ideally in the Smart Buildings, BEMS or construction sectors A background of owning business unit P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, and commercial reporting Expertise in leading multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams, including performance management and capability development Evidence of strategic stakeholder engagement, including with main contractors, clients and technology partners A proven track record of contributing to or developing business growth plans, preferably in a regional or national roleAbout Our BusinessSSE has a bold ambition – to be a leading energy company in a net zero world.
