Engage education is currently seeking an experienced Higher level teaching assistant to work at a primary school in Burgess Hill. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will work 1:1 with pupils as well as completing planned coverage of classes and leading group sessions. You will need to be ready for a challenge and have a passion for seeing students succeed. Job Description: Planned coverage of a class in place of their usual teacher or group coordinator Planned coverage of support or provide additional Support to help regulate pupils who require one-to-one support Lead 1:1 and group sessions for specific needs The ideal applicant will be: Understanding of Special Educational Needs Ability to work in a child focused way Effective communication skills Ability to recognise and understand young people’s needs Good organisational skills, ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload.
