Wymondham Medical Partnership requires an enthusiastic Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team providing quality customer service to our patients. Hours to be agreed with successful candidate. (Up to 37.5 hours between (Monday -Friday 8am-6pm) Main duties of the jobYou will be IT literate and have excellentcustomer service and organisational skills with the ability to keep calm andwork well under pressure as well as meet tight deadlines. You will have the ability to work methodically,efficiently and have great attention to detail.You will be a strong team player and have excellent communication skillsand understand the absolute need for confidentiality as you will be dealingwith sensitive information. The postholder will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriateservice or healthcare professional face to face or on the telephone. The postholder will provide a high quality service within the Practice and willcontribute new ideas to improve and enhance the teams performance. The postholder will communicate effectively with patients, carers and team members, recognisingthat alternative methods of communication will be required on occasion. The postholder will use their own initiative when dealing with problems and make anyreasonable decisions on events as they occur. The nature of this post requiresconfidentiality to be of paramount importance and the practices policies andprocedures relating to confidentiality andprotection of personal and sensitive data should be adhered to at alltimes. Person SpecificationQualificationsGCSE Grade C or above in English or equivalent ExperienceExperience of dealing with customers / patients face to face and via the telephone. Experience of working in Primary Care. Experience of working in a fast paced environment . Additional skillsAbility to communicate both written and orally. Ability to use Microsoft Office, and learn new software as required. Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst dealing with a busy work environment. Ability to work positively as a team member by encouragement, listening and responding. Ability to work on own initiative and also take direction. Ability to manage a heavy workload ensuring deadlines are met Ability to plan and organise specifically delegated tasks and meet agreed objectives.
