Job Description

The Brighton West Community Primary Care Network Team is seeking a registered nurse to join our team covering Brighton and Hove. If you are newly registered or seeking a new challenge, community nursing offers a diverse and rewarding field with various specialties within one role. Successful applicants will receive an individual induction plan to support their transition into the community environment. Applicants should research the community nursing role and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust to demonstrate their suitability. Our team includes Administrators, Health Care Assistants, a Nursing Associate, Community Staff Nurses (part-time and full-time), Qualified District Nurses, Community Sisters, Clinical Nurse Leads, and a Team Lead. We collaborate with local health, social, and voluntary sectors to provide holistic patient support, especially within our Frailty Service. We support staff in gaining competencies for their roles, including pathways to District Nursing and Clinical Nurse Lead qualifications, and opportunities to develop special interests in community disciplines. As the main provider of NHS community services across East and West Sussex, we serve 1.3 million people with a team of 6,000 staff, delivering care that helps manage health, prevent hospital admissions, and reduce hospital stays.
