Volunteers for Child Health Drop-In Volunteers would be there to meet and greet the clients on arrival while Health Care Professionals are already talking to other clients. The role would entail: Say hello (Greet Parents and Babies on arrival). Ask if it’s their first time and if so, explain how the clinic works. Add website sticker in the front of baby’s Red Book Update HV team insert with team contact details (if required) at the front of the Red Book Ask parents to scan our QR if applicable (may be needed for numbers or for parent feedback). Show parents where they can sit/feed their baby etc The role could include (will depend on how the clinic is run): Write date and calculate age of baby/child in red book and show parents where they can self-weigh or wait to speak to a health care professional depending on what they have come there for. Sign baby/child in on Health Visiting team’s attendance sheet – may not be used in all of the clinics.
