(Cont'd under detailed job description and main responsibilities) Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be part of a team providing Pathology IT support to the UHBW Pathology service. The post holder will be undertaking a key role in key IT projects supporting the Weston of England Pathology network objectives. These aim to improve patient safety and laboratory efficiency in order to maintain the highest standards of patient care. The role will be to support the Path IT team in their duties with various IT systems and hardware. To assist in the roll out of through barcoding with Primary care and to support the use of labgnostic to interface requests and results with other laboratories. This role will be supporting both sites at Bristol Royal Infirmary and Weston General Hospital, so flexibility of location is required. Base location to be determined.
