Who are we looking for? We seek highly motivated individuals with a passion for science and a strong desire to learn. No prior experience is needed; we will provide all necessary training. You should be able to work well in a team and independently, with excellent communication skills. Position Details: What will you do? The role is a 4-year program, balancing work and study. You will study towards a BSc Chemical Science degree with Manchester Metropolitan University, with online coursework and an annual residential week. The first 24 months involve rotating through different departments to learn various lab specializations. Afterward, you will join a specific department to develop your skills further. You may utilize 20% of your work time for your studies, including revision and exams. We have been recruiting apprentices since 2013, many of whom remain with us. Each year, we recruit multiple apprentices, offering opportunities to work and study across different functions and cohorts. Degree:BSc Chemical Science University:Manchester Metropolitan University Qualifications: 104 UCAS points at A-Level (grade BCC), including Chemistry or an equivalent scientific discipline At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-5, including Science, Maths, and English Language You must apply and be accepted to the university course after receiving an offer from RSSL Location: Based at one of four sites: Reading Science Centre, JJT and Knight Building (on the University of Reading campus), or Wokingham. Start Date: September 1, 2025 Duration: Approximately 4 years, aligned with your course modules Applicants with relevant workplace experience or other qualifications (e.g., T-levels, BTEC) will also be considered.
