If you're interested in this role APPLY NOW.Roles and Responsibilities:Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs in children and young people with SEN. Individualised Therapy: Plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based therapy programs tailored to the specific needs of each student, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. Collaborative Working: Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and other professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, occupational therapists) to integrate therapy goals into the student's daily life and learning environment. Resource Development: Develop and adapt communication resources and strategies to support students' access to the curriculum and social interactions. Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to school staff and parents on communication strategies and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, writing reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and multi-agency meetings.What We're Looking For:A degree in Speech and Language Therapy with relevant experience. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs. Band 6 applicants: Substantial post-qualification experience, including working autonomously and supervising others. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
