Acorns Day Nursery - Nursery Practitioner & Key PersonOccupational group:Nursery and pre-school Working pattern:Full time Contract type:Permanent Hours:36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (excluding 1-hour lunch break), 8am - 6pm Location:Acorns Day Nursery, 532 Reading Road, Winnersh RG41 5EX Closing date:30th September 2025 Start date:1st September 2025 Job overviewTo work alongside the nursery team to provide children with a stimulating environment that encourages and supports child-initiated learning by offering appropriate levels of support. You will need a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage to plan and develop a balanced programme of activities supporting children's learning. To support partnerships with families, act as a key worker for a group of children, and maintain children's records and learning journeys. Work with the nursery management team to ensure a high standard of care for the children. Candidate requirementsFriendly, reliable, calm, and patient nature Good team player with a flexible approach and initiative Strong communication and organizational skills Relevant Childcare Level 2 or 3 qualification or equivalent Key Person experience is an advantage Additional informationThe nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
