Direct message the job poster from Milano Pro Sport We are seeking a print designer to join our team in Preston, Lancashire. You will play a key part in the growth of our design ranges and team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in print design for fashion, ideally sportswear. You will have worked with Adobe software, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop with AVA skills as a bonus. You will combine your creative skills with a commercial mind to ensure the business continues to push the boundaries and excel within the gymnastics world. You will collaborate with the on-site factory manager and production team and work closely with the sales team to ensure business needs are met. Key Responsibilities Print creation for gymnastics leotards working with customer briefs Grading of print designs for orders Colour matching – AVA/pantone matching/matching to garments Converting old files from Illustrator/Photoshop into AVA (training can be provided) Creating customer drawings Creating production ready artwork from customer drawings Assisting the design team where necessary with the creation of diamante/spangle designs and grading to size (training will be given) Grading of diamante designs where necessary to assist the team (training will be provided) Setting up files for heat press designs Working closely with the factory and factory manager to ensure design samples show creativity whilst retaining a commercial mindset Collaborate with other departments within the business to ensure its smooth running Sending orders to print Working with the team to manage print samples Working at fast pace to identify future trends and materials and keeping up to date with FIG ruling and demand for Gymnastics apparel Ensuring designs are fit for function Documenting products using detailed specifications (Microsoft Excel) Ordering and checking in samples Reviewing samples prior to dispatch Desired skills and Qualifications Educated to degree level within a design discipline 1+ years proven experience within a similar role Proficient in Adobe creative suite, specifically Illustrator/Photoshop Strong organisational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects simultaneously Be adaptive to changing priorities Strong attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Creative thinker Calm under pressure Self-motivated Good team player AVA CAD CAM Garment construction knowledge including fit and function Experience of working with stretch fabrics There will be a requirement for occasional travel to other businesses within the UK for meetings during working hours and an occasional need to attend competitions/events outside of set hours with time in lieu given Company Benefits An inclusive and supportive work culture that values creativity and innovation.
