Job Title: Estimator - Construction & Fit Out Description: We are hiring for our client, a dynamic and growing construction, fit out, and manufacturing company, to appoint a talented Estimator - Construction & Fit Out. This is a key role in their pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and timely cost estimates and tender submissions across a diverse project portfolio. Top 3 Things to Know About this Job: Established & Growing Company - Diverse projects across construction, fit out, and manufacturing High-Impact Role - Take ownership of estimates and play a critical part in business growth Collaborative, Supportive Culture - Agile and responsive leadership team The Role: * Analyse tender documents and prepare analytical cost estimates * Collate quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors * Liaise with Commercial Director and Operations Director on pricing and bid strategy * Contribute to subcontractor selection and negotiation * Attend meetings/site visits and prepare tender settlement documents * Evaluate risk, programme and potential value engineering options * Manage records and tender feedback for future improvement * Embrace a continuous improvement approach to estimating processes The Person: * Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or fit out sector * Familiar with standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, FIDIC) * Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of construction techniques * Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and estimating software * Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication and organisation skills * Able to work both independently and as part of a team Desirable: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline * Experience writing PQQ, bid, and tender submissions * Familiarity with e-tendering platforms The Reward: * Competitive salary (DOE) * Supportive and progressive leadership team * Dynamic company with varied project portfolio * Clear opportunities for career development Next Steps - Why Hunter Savage?
