A client within the Public Sector based in Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for a Food Safety Officer to join their Regulation team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidatehaving experience of working within a local authority within a regulatory enforcement environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to work as part of a team to deliver operational and enforcement activities as detailed in the Council’s service plans and outcome framework, including inspections, investigations and enforcement across food hygiene, standards, healthand safety, public health, and port health functions. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Enforce Food Hygiene and Standards, Health & Safety, Public Health and Port Health legislation. Inspect food manufacturing, storage, distribution and retail premises, including vessels, to meet statutory duties. Investigate incidents such as food poisoning outbreaks, workplace accidents and occupational health concerns. Prepare inspection reports, legal notices and prosecution case files, and present evidence in court. Undertake sampling and analysis of food and products, taking enforcement action where required.
