Be responsible for Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) management, including receipt, dispensing, handing out, returns, temperature excursion reports, and any other activities deemed appropriate by the Clinical Trials Specialist Pharmacist. Ensure that IMPs for clinical trials are managed according to regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures and Good Clinical Practice. Develop and review departmental clinical trial work and standard operating procedures. Identify and manage risks associated with the use of IMPs in clinical trials. Work with members of the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team and Research and Development (R&D) team to review and assess operational and clinical resources needed to open and run clinical trials. Attend site initiation visits, sponsor monitoring visits, and close out visits. Support the Aseptic team in the management of Oncology, Haematology and other clinical trials related to their clinical areas. Formulate and recover pharmacy charges for clinical trials. Support gathering and reporting of KPI information for benchmarking and identify any variations or concerns for discussion with Pharmacy Senior Team and R&D Team.
