Base pay rangeDirect message the job poster from Spencer Scott - Technology Recruitment Are you a strategic procurement professional with deep expertise in HR and professional services sourcing? We're looking for an Category Manager to lead procurement strategy for HR systems and services - including platforms like Workday and Oracle HCM - within a global financial services environment. This Category Manager opportunity will pay an annual salary up to £90,000, a 22% Annual Bonus and 18% Company Pension, Private Health and Dental Care and lots more!. Working to a hybrid model, the team go on-site 2 days a week for some collaboration within their Central London hub. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies across HR technology and professional services. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in HR, IT, Finance, and Legal to align procurement initiatives with business priorities. Drive end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFPs/RFIs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution. Maximise ROI from key HR platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, and SAP SuccessFactors. Manage supplier risk, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Track market developments and emerging trends to inform a forward-looking category roadmap. Any experience within the Insurance sector would be desirable, but not essential. Overview: Demonstrated success in IT Procurement or Category Management, ideally within the financial services sector. In-depth experience managing sourcing for HRIS platforms and professional/consulting services. Strong commercial acumen with a track record in contract negotiation and vendor management. Skilled in managing complex, high-value supplier relationships and influencing senior stakeholders. Proficient in using leading procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa). Strategic thinker with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
