You will provide the highest standard of care in line of Clinical Governance and Professional Standards following national and local guidance.The role will lead the midwifery team in the provision of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, working collaboratively with Obstetric Consultants colleagues and Resident Doctors to support Consultant Led Care within the maternity service. The post holder will have experience in management and leadership to ensure outstanding care and exceptional patient experience. A Maternity Matron will be responsible for Workforce Planning and oversight of budgetary controls to ensure goals are achieved.Skills And ExperienceDemonstrable evidence in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives NMC registered Midwife Extensive experience working in Midwifery To provide support to the Deputy Chief Nurse – Women's Services and Women’s Services Manager, leadership to the clinical teams (nursing, midwifery and HCA’s) and act to as a role model To facilitate, support and deliver training as appropriate to staff within the service To facilitate team awareness and monitor compliance pertaining to, regulations and standards appropriate for the department, in regard to CQC compliance To ensure that all patient care is documented, all the relevant documentation is completed accurately within agreed timescales using approved HCA International documentation, in line with NMC, CQC and local standards To order tests and clinical investigations as directed using HCA International IT systems and access results as appropriate ensuring that the correct results are documented To meet PREP requirements and identify own learning needs ensuring own professional development is maintained by keeping up to date with practice developments and undertake further academic qualifications as relevant to the role and service requirementsAt HCA UK we care about what you care about.
