This role will require undertaking fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team, maintaining existing relations with the firm’s clients and to assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers. This would suit someone looking for a unique opportunity of working with high-net-worth individuals who has a keen interest to specialise in agriculture work. Ideally based from either one of the following hubs;Leicester / Stratford-upon-Avon / Nottingham / Birmingham / Solihull or Lincoln . Collaboration is important so you will need to be able to be in the office, with the team 3/4 days per week. For this role we will consider eitherfull-timeorpart-timeapplications. What you will be doing: To assisting senior fee earners with drafting complex wills, letters of wishes, lasting powers of attorney, creation of trust deeds and documents and administering complex estates with particular reference to agricultural clients. To assisting senior fee earners to consider complex technical points relating, in particular, to taxation and partnerships and general succession. Turning the above work around within a reasonable timeframe and keeping the senior fee earners regularly informed of your progress. To undertake fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department. To maintain existing relations with the firm’s clients and assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers. Conduct of private client and related matters on behalf of clients. Administration, there are opportunities to work on all areas of Private Client. Willing to participate in the growth and future development on the department, assisting in the build-up of the client database and marketing the firm’s services. Maintaining orderly and up-to-date files including electronically and complying with the firm’s policies on file management. Completing time recording and other management records required by the firm. Using case management programmes to run cases Liaising with clients (taking messages, arranging meetings etc.), so you should demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and sensitivity in all your communications. Liaising with other professionals e.g. financial advisers and accountants Legal research Financial control of your own matters with particular regard to cash flow through collection of monies on account and billing procedures. Recognising fee-earning opportunities and develop as appropriate. What you will need: You will have a caring nature, seeing this role as more than a ‘job’, taking your responsibilities to our clients very seriously, whether the task is big or small. When it comes to individuals’ lives, every detail matters, so you will be someone who considers the wider implications of what you do, and who likes to go the extra mile. You will be personable, approachable and with a genuine interest in dealing with individuals and their families. This role involves some basic accountancy skills for reconciling client accounts, so good numeracy skills and a competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important. You will also need strong written and oral communication skills, being able to adapt your style to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and fellow professionals alike. You will be exceptionally organised and used to working efficiently and accurately, in a busy and varied role.
