A vaccination team of two Band 5 nurses/midwives with administrative support was created and the role of the team is to focus on the successful implementation of the national maternal vaccination programme. In 2024, the new maternal vaccine, Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV) will commence.Our new Band 6 nurse will lead us through these changes under the guidance of the Consultant Midwife for Public health and the Infectious Diseases lead midwife.The successful applicants will possess excellent time management skills; have evidence of experience in both team and change management and an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within the specialist team. Any potential candidate must meet the essential criteria and be flexible within the team working patterns to meet the needs of this weekday service.The vaccination team posts are currently funded by NHS England.
