Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and forward-thinking Band 7 Medical Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our Medical team.The post holder will work as an integral and active part of the Respiratory Physiotherapy team in the provision of a patient-centred In-patient, out-patient service. The service supports a caseload of patients with NIV, ventilated and complex respiratory conditions. The post-holder will also have the opportunity to further develop their acute skills by working within the paediatric respiratory in-patient Physiotherapy team supporting children with a wide range of cardiorespiratory conditions.Main duties of the jobAs an autonomous practitioner, to assess and treat own caseload and provide a highly specialist respiratory physiotherapy service to patients.To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), assessing and treating patients with respiratory problems and/or requiring physical rehabilitation, including complex cases, and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.To clinically lead the respiratory physiotherapy service for acute medicine in conjunction with the other Band 7 Medical PhysiotherapistTo work closely with the cross-site Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapists in leading the development of the Respiratory Physiotherapy Service.To be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Respiratory Physiotherapy Service you are leading.To be responsible for the development and appraisal of team members, including Band 5 & 6s, non-qualified staff and Students.
